Pasona, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) has been commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to operate the JAPAN JOB FAIR in ASIA2023 (hereinafter referred to as “the Program”). In operating the Program, the Company shall be strongly aware of the importance of personal information obtained by the Company, shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and regulations, and declares that it shall safely and appropriately handle personal information in accordance with the “Handling of Personal Information” as set forth below.

<Handling of Personal Information>

1. Purpose of use
Personal information obtained by the Company through the Program shall be used for the following purposes:
・To receive, respond to, and manage inquiries, applications, and feedback; send and provide materials; provide information on seminars and events for the Program; compile statistical data for and concerning the Program; and take other such actions;
・With respect to the use of photographs, video footage, and other audio-video recordings, to publicize recruitment through the Program and report on outcomes of the Program.

2. Providing personal information to third parties
Personal information obtained by the Company through the Program shall be provided to exhibiting companies participating in joint company information sessions pertaining to the Program as follows via electronic media or in writing. The Company shall engage in the necessary and appropriate oversight of the management of such parties to whom personal information is provided, including by way of the requirement to have personal information strictly managed and the requirement to have personal information destroyed or returned at the end of applicable outsourcing agreements.
Personal information may also be provided via electronic media or in writing as part of the submission of reports on the Program to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which constitutes the party commissioning the Program.

 (1) Exhibiting companies participating in job fair pertaining to the Program
Purpose of provision: For recruitment activities undertaken by participating companies, such as interviews that are conducted and information sessions that are held;
Means or method of provision: Via electronic media or in writing;
Items of personal information to be provided: Names, addresses, and all other items of personal information provided.

 (2) Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
Purpose of provision: To report on outcomes and results and compile statistics pertaining to the Program;
Means or method of provision: Via electronic media or in writing;
Items of personal information to be provided: Names, addresses, and all other items of personal information provided.

3. Outsourcing
As the Company may entrust some operations involving the handling of personal information to overseas group companies of and companies affiliated with the Company, personal information provided, to the extent needed to realize the purpose of use, will be provided to those companies in the following way.
An outsourcee shall be subject to a strict screening process according to a system for and policy on the protection of personal information, and shall be verified as having met the standards set forth by the Company before outsourcing is undertaken. An agreement concerning the maintenance of confidentiality shall be concluded with an outsourcee. An outsourcee shall be subject to appropriate oversight, including by way of the requirement to have personal information strictly managed and the requirement to have personal information destroyed or returned at the end of the applicable outsourcing agreement.

4. Voluntary nature of personal information
The provision of personal information is voluntary and not compulsory in any way whatsoever. Provided, however, that it may not be possible to render appropriate services in some cases if personal information is withheld.

5. Use of cookies
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is used to collect and analyze access logs on this website. Cookies are used with Google Analytics 4 to collect logs without identifying individuals. The collected logs are managed in accordance with Google’s privacy policy. Visit Google’s website for more information.

6. Disclosing, correcting, and deleting personal information
The Company shall notify the purpose for which personal data in its possession is used and disclose, correct, supplement, delete, suspend the use of, erase, or suspend the provision to third parties of such information (hereinafter referred to as “disclose or modify”) through the following contact office for inquiries in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. In the event that a request to disclose or modify is received, the Company will require identification and details of the request. For this reason, a required form as prescribed by the Company should be completed and submitted.

<Terms and Conditions of Use> Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms and Conditions of Use shall apply to all actions undertaken by the User when using this website.
These Terms and Conditions of Use set forth the conditions of use applicable to the online joint company information sessions pertaining to the Program (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”). The User shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Use.
The User, by using the Service, shall be deemed to have agreed to the contents of these Terms and Conditions of Use in full.

Article 2 (Definitions)
In these Terms and Conditions, terms as listed in the following items are defined as set forth in the following items:
 (1)“User” means a person participating in the Service;
 (2)“Contents” means all expressions and information, including information, articles, videos, materials, drawings, text, sounds, music, software, programs, and source codes, provided to the User via the Service.

Article 3 (Development by the user of a usage environment)
The User shall appropriately use the Service by developing, at his or her own expense and responsibility, an environment for the use of equipment (such as video cameras and microphones), software, means of communications, and other tools required for and compatible with the use of the Service.
It is recommended that the Service be used in a stable communication environment by ensuring that connected terminals (such as personal computers, smartphones, and tablets) are properly fixed in a noise-free area after verifying that batteries are sufficiently charged or connected to chargers.
The User shall thwart computer virus infections, prevent unauthorized access and information leaks, and otherwise implement appropriate security measures for his or her own usage environment.
The Company shall not be involved whatsoever in the User’s usage environment and shall not be held liable whatsoever for any damage or increase in communication charges and other costs caused by or resulting from the User’s usage environment.

Article 4 (Attribution of rights)
Ownership of and copyrights, trademarks, patent rights, and all other rights in any software and information provided by the Company to a participant in the course of providing the Service (hereinafter referred to as “Intellectual Property Rights”) either belong to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which constitutes the party commissioning the Program, or has been acquired as legitimate rights by the Company from an authorized third party unless otherwise set forth in these Terms and Conditions of Use. The User does not obtain any such Intellectual Property Rights whatsoever under any circumstances.

Article 5 (Prohibited actions)
 1.The User shall refrain from engaging in an action as listed in or that could be construed as coming under any of the following items:
  (i)Action that contravenes these Terms and Conditions of Use;
  (ii)Action that is in breach of a law or regulation or offends public order and morals or that implies, induces or furthers such breaching or offending;
  (iii)Action that infringes on the rights or interests of the Company or a third party (including, but not limited to, nuisance and obstruction of operations);
  (iv)Action by which false, inaccurate, or inappropriate information in connection with the Service is provided.

 2.Where the Company, in addition to items of the preceding paragraph, deems that abusive language, a breach of manners, or other such action impedes the operations of the Service, the perpetrating party may be asked to leave the company information session pertaining to the Service. Where necessary, a specialized agency may be contacted.

Article 6 (Suspension of the Service)
Where any of the following items applies, the Company may suspend or discontinue the provision of the Service in whole or in part without having to provide prior notice to the User:

 (i)Where carrying out maintenance or inspections of equipment and systems for the provision of the Service;
 (ii)Where operations of the Service have been rendered difficult due to a fire, earthquake or other natural disaster, a power failure, or system failure;
 (iii)Where a computer or communication line has stopped working due to an accident;
 (iv)Where an external system or service used by the Company stops working or becomes unstable due to some factor;
 (v)Where the provision of normal service becomes or is deemed by the Company to be difficult due to a significant load on or failure of the Service;
 (vi)Where the Company recognizes that the provision of the Service could potentially cause significant harm to the User or a third party due to the falsification or hacking of data in connection with the Service;
 (vii)Where the Company otherwise determines that the Service needs to be suspended or discontinued.

Article 7 (Revising these Terms and Conditions of Use)
 1.The Company may revise these Terms and Conditions of Use at its discretion in a case coming under any of the following items:
  (i)Where a revision to these Terms and Conditions of Use would be in the general interest of the User;
  (ii)Where a revision to these Terms and Conditions of Use would not be inconsistent with the purpose for which the Agreement was concluded and would be considered reasonable in light of the necessity of the revision, the reasonableness of the revised contents, the contents of the revision, or other circumstances pertaining to the revision.

 2.In revising these Terms and Conditions of Use, the Company shall post the fact that these Terms and Conditions of Use shall be revised and the contents and effective date of the revised Terms and Conditions of Use on the website of the Service or provide the User with a notification thereof by email. The User shall be deemed to have agreed to any revisions to these Terms and Conditions of Use upon the use by the User of the Service on and after the effective date of the revised Terms and Conditions of Use.

Article 8 (Disclaimers)
The Company shall not be held liable whatsoever for any information or service provided by or on another website to which the User is redirected via a link or banner featured on this website.

Article 9 (Governing law)
 1.These Terms and Conditions of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
 2.The Tokyo District Court shall serve as the court of first instance having exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute arising between the User and Company in connection with these Terms and Conditions of Use.
